Stratford School Participates in Hour of Code During Computer Science Education Week

Saratoga, California 95070 (PRWEB) December 10, 2014 -- Stratford School today announced that they are participating in Code.org's Hour of Code, "the largest learning event in history," during Computer Science Education Week, December 8-14, 2014.

The goal for Hour of Code is to empower and encourage tens of millions of students nationwide to try this one-hour introduction to computer science, which is designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics.

Stratford School preschool and kindergarten students will code for the first time this year during Hour of Code joining grades 1-8 who code regularly throughout the school year. Students will code on Chromebooks, iPads, or laptop computers, and will also participate in unplugged activities. Students will learn computational and algorithmic thinking, problem solving, modeling, persistence, and collaboration. Each Stratford campus has their own Hour of Code schedule.
