Stroke Care and Prevention is Featured with Host James Earl Jones on "Behind The Scenes" for Public Television
(PRWEB) February 10, 2016 -- A new upcoming "Behind The Scenes" segment will discuss stroke care and prevention. Every four minutes a person dies from a stroke in the U.S., according to the Center for Disease control. This serious issue will be covered by the BTS team in a segment anchored by host James Earl Jones, to help inform viewers of signs of a stroke and actions to take during a stroke.
A stroke is the interruption or reduction of blood supply to the brain. It is a serious medical emergency that many people do not think about until it happens to someone they know. Fast action is vital when the first signs of a stroke appear. The signs of a stroke are sudden numbness, confusion, blurred vision, dizziness, sudden headache, and other cognitive issues. The faster a person gets help, the more likely they will survive with less damage to the brain.
Viewers can learn more about the program by visiting the website. "Behind The Scenes" is independently produced. It distributed to Public Television Stations across the US. It is not related to or associated with or produced by APT or PBS.
