Stroke Survivors Share Your Recovery Story in New Book
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 22, 2015 -- New stroke survivors typically have many unanswered questions in the beginning. Over time stroke survivors work long and hard on recovery.
"Then there comes a time during recovery when survivors have a better understanding of the process. If this is you, or if you have a family member or friend dealing with stroke, and if you have an inspirational story to tell, I hope you will get in contact with me so I can include your story in my new book on stroke recovery," says stroke survivor Jeff Kagan.

Jeff Kagan is a stroke survivor. During his ten-year recovery he wrote two books on being a stroke survivor and on stroke recovery. “As a ten year stroke survivor I know what new stroke survivors are looking for. They are looking for answers. This is all brand new and unknown and that is very uncomfortable,” says Kagan.
“They are looking for answers, information and mostly inspiration. They want to know how long it will take to recover. What they can do to speed things along. They want to know if they will ever be back to normal. They want to know what the future will look like now that they have had a stroke. They want to know if things will ever be normal again and if they will ever be happy again,” says Kagan.
Remember those early days. There are always more questions than answers.
While every stroke is different, and while it is not possible to tell what each stroke survivors' life will be like going forward, there is still plenty of room for inspiration.
Inspiration is key to a more rapid and more full recovery. Inspiration gives a reason to wake up and face another day of hard work in the long term rebuilding process.
“That’s why I think it is so important that we stick together. That we help each other. We are stroke survivors who have learned so much. It’s important to share what we have learned with new stroke survivors,” says Kagan.
“Imagine if you had these kind of inspirational messages in your early recovery days. That’s the positive magic I want to bring to the lives of new stroke survivors,” says Kagan.
