Studies Show Our Definition of Beauty is Changing
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- “To love beauty is to see light.” - Victor Hugo
How do we define a person as beautiful? It’s hard to discern in a culture full of many different preferences, with lots of static ideals, and stereotypes, creating that beauty is the “perfect” hair, or the “perfect” outfit, and so forth.
Fortunately there are also wiser outlets that dictate that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, colors, ages, physical attributes, and most importantly, it starts from the inside out.
I know, sounds cliché right? But honestly, it is really about letting your inner light shine. That really happens when you are feeling good! Both on a very physical level via the healing & remission of certain diseases, injuries, and pains, and also, internally on an emotional & spiritual level in regards to how we see and feel about ourselves.
Now you might be asking, “How does this relate to the smile?” If physically you are experiencing pain and discomfort from a condition such as TMJ, the relief of that, in general, will lighten your spirits, lighten your mood, and in turn leave you radiating as a more beautiful form of yourself.
That’s the beauty to the holistic approach taken here, number one it’s about setting out to heal by going to the issue and correcting the cause, In the case of TMJ that would be done through the use of various mouth pieces, etc. In that regard, you don’t have to take into consideration any aesthetic issues at all, only if you want to. In which case Dr. Gorman and his staff can also work on those preferences, but unlike many offices which are focused on purely aesthetic beauty on the outside, the primary focus here is healing a painful condition if possible, and leaving you genuinely feeling better, from the inside…out.
