Sturgis Buffalo Chip® Announces Avalanche of Entertainment in Ridiculous Parody of 1980s Infomercial

Those planning their annual migration to the festival during the 75th rally anniversary will now be celebrating with more world-class rock ‘n’ roll bands than ever before. To add to the fun, the Chip has prepared an utterly ridiculous video parody of an ’80s cult favorite infomercial to break the news. Heavy metal rockers Texas Hippie Coalition, known to its fans as THC, will kick off the nine-day festival as they headline the Buffalo Chip’s Friday Fest in the amphitheater following the Charlie Brechtel Band on Friday, July 31.
Bands announced to join headliner Brantley Gilbert on the Wolfman Jack main stage on Sunday, Aug. 2 include famed Southern rockers 38 Special, “American Woman” and “These Eyes” creators The Guess Who and rising outlaw-country rock star Brian Grilli.
The rock band led by son of country mega-star Willie Nelson, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, is slated to perform Tuesday, Aug. 4 prior to Shinedown and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Brent James & the Vintage Youth will open for Social Distortion and John Fogerty on Wednesday Aug. 5.
Heavy metal rockers Skid Row will blast it from the main stage on Friday Aug. 7, leading up to an unforgettable performance by Def Leppard.
WAR, the funk band that brought us hits including “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” “Low Rider” and “Spill the Wine,” will headline the last Saturday of the 75th anniversary rally week with American rock sensation, Adelitas Way and fusion folk-rock outfit Nicnos opening.
“This will be the biggest year, with the most rock ‘n’ roll, in Buffalo Chip history,” said Rod Woodruff, president of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “Never before have we offered more of this caliber of world-class, live music. This year will live on forever in the history books as the best party ever.”
The rally concert series during the Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling™ will begin on Friday, July 24 and run through Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015. The campground will open for camping on July 3, 2015 with live music starting on showcase stages beginning July 24.
