Sturtevant Acquires FCM Mill Systems to Expand Its Air Classification Line for Pharmaceutical, Food, Dairy Powder, Mineral, and Chemical Applications
Hanover, MA (PRWEB) October 05, 2016 -- Sturtevant Inc. announced today that it has acquired the assets of FCM Mill Systems LLC, a privately held powder processing systems company based in Lombard, Illinois. FCM Mill Systems specializes in manufacturing air classifier mills for the milling of pharmaceuticals, nutritional additives, food ingredients, dairy powders, minerals, and chemicals.

With many machines already successfully installed and operating in the United States, under the FCM Mill brand, Sturtevant will continue to enhance the line’s highly respected status under the Sturtevant brand. Sturtevant will be manufacturing the Sturtevant FCM Mill in the Lombard, Illinois based facility, and will be selling and supporting it globally, through its established network of sales representatives.

The Sturtevant FCM Mill excels in a variety of applications which include pharmaceutical and food products such as excipients, lactose, caseins, sugar, starches, cocoa, wheat gluten, and other food and nutritional additives and colorings. It is also advantageous for processors of minerals, silica, alumina, pigments, powder coatings, and chemical products as activated carbon and sodium bicarbonate.
