Suicide Prevention is Top Priority For Local Golf Event
Tequesta, Florida (PRWEB) September 18, 2015 -- Join us Monday, September 21st at Tequesta Country Club in Palm Beach County for the First Annual Sunrise Cares Charity Golf Classic hosted by Sunrise Cares and Eternal Essence. Proceeds from the event benefit organizations involved in removing the stigma associated with mental illness and also support local youth groups and community programs. The scramble begins at 9:30am with a shotgun start, with awards and check presentations at 2:00pm.
Benefactors of the proceeds include The Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation, Paws Assistance Dogs, The First Tee of the Palm Beaches, FC Florida, The Benjamin School, and Indiantown Youth Sports Program.
The donation to Paws Assistance Dogs will provide a fully trained and certified service dog to a combat wounded American veteran. Organizers of the event will follow this service dog‘s progress through intensive training and placement.
In recognition of September being National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, three local students who suffered a tragic loss of a close friend came together to host this event.
Eternal Essence Candle Company, a 501(c)(3), was founded by Alexis Kauchick. Her goal is to support community programs that address specific social and emotional issues and assist individuals who suffer from them, starting with her generation.
Sunrise Cares was founded by siblings Tristan and Payton Doran as a way to support those struggling with mental health illness. Their goal is to bring attention to the resources that are available and support activities that promote community, friendship, and healthy living.
