Suitcase Kitchen Workshop Comes to Chicago
(PRWEB) June 07, 2017 -- The Stone Soup Chef, Brown Paper Tickets’ Food and Beverage specialist announced today that he is teaching a Suitcase Kitchen workshop in Chicago on Friday, June 9 at Catalyst Ranch. Musicians, performers, chefs and travellers will learn how to build a pickup-and-carry kitchen and how to cook healthy, affordable meals on the road.
“A lot of times, musicians on tour rely on fast food because it’s the only thing available and it’s cheap,” said Chef Patrick Nelson, the Stone Soup Chef. “The cost of fast food adds up and dietary restrictions make it even more difficult. I will show workshop attendees how to build a Suitcase Kitchen and make meals while traveling.”
Attendees will also learn where to shop and how to keep track of materials for their kitchens. “Cost of materials is definitely a consideration. To start my own Suitcase Kitchen, I picked up a suitcase at a second-hand store. It’s definitely possible to create a portable kitchen without spending too much on supplies,” said Chef Nelson.
Chef Nelson will also give a live cooking demonstration, helpful tips on cleanliness and maintenance, and complimentary recipe cards. Registration for the event cost $10 and tickets can be purchased at Brown Paper Tickets.
