CHICAGO – July 8, 2015 – (PRWEB) July 08, 2015 -- G2 Crowd, the business software review platform, today published its Summer 2015 Grid℠ report which ranks the best marketing automation platforms to help technology buyers, investors and analysts make better software purchasing decisions. HubSpot topped overall user satisfaction in the Leader quadrant and Autopilot, GreenRope, Plumb5 and Right On Interactive appeared on the Grid℠ for the first time.

Based on data from more than 2,700 crowdsourced user reviews written by business and marketing professionals, the Grid℠ report analyzed customer satisfaction and market presence. Satisfaction rankings are generated from user reviews, and market presence is calculated from vendor size, market share and social impact. Through a combination of these scores, each software solution is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender or Niche.

“From content management to lead generation, marketing automation technology is a critical tool for small businesses and enterprises alike to make better business decisions, improve efficiency and enhance customer experience,” said Tim Handorf, co-founder and president of G2 Crowd. “But there are a slew of solutions for these businesses to choose from and it’s often difficult to narrow down the best options. Through authentic peer reviews and synthesized social data, our Summer 2015 Grid℠ report is brings transparency to businesses’ marketing automation purchasing decisions, ultimately improving satisfaction and loyalty to vendors.”

Of the more than 100 software vendors listed in G2 Crowd’s Marketing Automation category, the ranked products each received 10 or more reviews to qualify for inclusion on the Grid℠.

The Summer 2015 report also includes Grids℠ representing reviewer company size segments: Small Business (50 or fewer employees), Mid-Market (51 to 1,000 employees) and Enterprise (1,001+ employees). The Leaders and High Performers for each segment are:

Grid℠ for Marketing Automation (Small Business):
• Leaders: HubSpot, Pardot, Act-On
• High Performers: ONTRAPORT, Autopilot, Net-Results, OutMarket, LeadSqured, Salesfusion

Grid℠ for Marketing Automation (Mid-Market):
• Leaders: Pardot, Marketo, HubSpot
• High Performers: Salesfusion, OutMarket, LeadSquared

Grid℠ for Marketing Automation (Enterprise):
• Leaders: Marketo, Oracle Eloqua
• High Performers: HubSpot, Pardot

Key Findings

Across all marketing automation tools, reviewers reported the product they use meets their requirements at an average rate of 85%, and on average reviewers said they were 85% likely to recommend the product they use.

Outbound email sending was the highest-rated feature across all products, with 90 percent satisfaction. Standout companies with this feature included Hatchbuck (98 percent satisfaction) and ONTRAPORT (97 percent satisfaction).

Ease of setup was the lowest-rated feature across all products, with 78 percent satisfaction; however, there were several standout companies with this feature, including Autopilot (92 percent satisfaction), along with LeadSquared and Net-Results (each with 91 percent satisfaction).

Since G2 Crowd’s Fall 2014 Marketing Automation Grid℠ some vendors have experienced significant moves in their quadrant position. Both CallidusCloud and eTrigue moved from a Niche product to a High Performer, increasing in satisfaction by 10 points and 19 points, respectively. In addition, Infusionsoft moved from Contender to Leader, increasing in satisfaction by 35 points and market presence by nine points.
