Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 14, 2015 -- Summit Pen Company will make its first appearance at the annual Los Angeles International Pen Show February 14 – 15. The Los Angeles Pen Show, held at the Manhattan Beach Marriott, is a major event for pen collectors and writing enthusiasts, drawing exhibitors and attendees from around the world. This will be the 27th annual Los Angeles Pen Show. The LA Pen Show is open to the general public from 10am – 5pm on Sunday, February 15, 2015 for an admission fee of $7.
Summit Pen Company creates fine writing instruments with mountain themes, including mountain activities such as mountain climbing and skiing. The premier line of Summit Pen Company is the Iconic American Peaks Collection, which pays tribute to three of America’s most majestic peaks with mountaineering-themed pens for Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood and Grand Teton. Each of the pens in the Iconic American Peaks Collection is produced in both Limited and Special Limited Editions and available in fountain pen and rollerball models.
The Special Limited Editions feature hand painted depictions of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood and the Teton Range by artists in Florence, Italy, with just 14, 11 and 13, respectively, pens made for each model. The sterling silver trim features a replica of the geodesic summit marker on the top of the cap and a hefty 3D relief of a mountain range as a band at the bottom of the cap. The focal point of each pen in the Iconic American Peaks Collection is the clip, which represents a climbing rope in a butterfly coil with an ice axe tucked behind.
Summit Pen Company invites those interested in the mountain lifestyle, collectible pens and fans of America’s most iconic mountains to visit the company’s booth at the Los Angeles International Pen Show on Sunday, February 15, when the show will be open to the general public.
About The Summit Pen Company
Summit Pen Company was created by merging the unlikely passions of pens and mountains, particularly climbing and skiing. Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood and Grand Teton not only shape their respective skylines, they have shaped history. Although much of that history relates to climbing, it goes well beyond that. These mountains have forged American explorers, including the first Americans to reach the summits of Everest and K2. Grand Teton is where America’s greatest ski mountaineers hone their skills. Mt. Rainier was used to train American alpine troops during WWII and became important to building the ski recreation industry after. Tens of thousands of mountaineers climb these three mountains each year and far greater numbers travel to these National Parks and Forest for hiking and other recreation. For many, these mountains provide a cherished experience and perhaps an inspiration for adventure. Summit Pen Company has sought to create a collectible pen that allows its owners to write their own stories of adventure.
