Suntory® Flowers Unveils New Plants for 2015
Tokyo, Japan (PRWEB) November 26, 2014 -- As winter weather approaches, Suntory® Flowers offers the perfect pick-me-up for gardeners looking forward to the warm, spring months.
Color is the main highlight for Suntory’s new 2015 plants. Bold hues, bright blooms and unexpected pops of color are found throughout several collections.
“We’re expanding our color spectrum this year with different shades that pack a lot of punch,” said Delilah Onofrey of Suntory Flowers. “Spring is right around the corner. It’s never too early to think about what colors to add to your garden.”
New Colorful Blooms for 2015
Suntory® puts a new twist on one of its classic brands with the Surfinia® Sumo Petunia Collection. These bold blooms are bred for high flower count and retain large flowers. Sumo’s full, mounding habit makes them perfect for large containers, hanging baskets and flower beds.
Use the collection’s bright colors like Plum, Bold Lilac or Pink to personalize and liven up any backyard or outdoor space. The Sumo Petnunia Collection grows in full or partial-sun.
Sundiascia® is a new form of diascia that presents a unique upright habit with sturdy 3-inch flower spikes. Sundiascia’s tall stems and shape saves additional growing space and helps prevent breaks from the center of the plant. Ideal for pots and landscapes, they make a great thriller for plant combinations.
The collection is available in unforgettable hues like Upright Bright Pink, Upright Peach and Upright Blush White.
Senetti Blue Eye® pericallis is the newest member of the Suntory® Senetti Collection. This new flower sports white colored blooms with a distinct, dark navy blue center that produces as many as 200 – 3inch flowers. Depending on the temperature, Blue Eye’s petals can develop dark blue tips. Blue Eye grows to about 2 feet in height and width, making quite a colorful impact.
Senetti flowers are known as the first flowers of spring. They thrive in cool conditions and rebloom after they’re cut back. Use this overall neutral bloom to add subtle pops of color to any space.
“Senetti Blue Eye® is a beautiful addition to an already thriving collection,” Onofrey said. “I especially love it planted with Senetti Super Blue, which has solid deep blue flowers. The contrast is very striking.”
These new items from Suntory Flowers join the line in Spring 2015 and will be available at garden centers and home improvement stores. Until then, gardeners can get a jump on next year’s garden fashion slate at http://www.SuntoryFlowers.com.
