SunUp Brewing Co Says Hello To Canning, Introduces Five Flavors
(PRWEB) September 26, 2016 -- Phoenix-based craft beer brewery and restaurant, SunUp Brewing Company, has added canning beer to the menu. SunUp’s award-winning beers were once only available on-tap, but now can be found in cans at more than 65 retailers throughout the city.
“We introduced two of our canned beers earlier this year as part of an expansion project,” said Barry Tingleff, SunUp’s Brewery Sales Mgr. “Outstanding sales of the award-winning White Russian Imperial Coffee Stout and Trooper IPA were proof the demand was strong and validated our initial canning efforts. This success led to us adding Tanline Brown Ale, Bearded Blonde Ale and Red Flash IPA to our canning distribution this summer.”
To distinguish their five unique flavors, SunUp designed five eye-catching characters for each respective can. Even though the artwork on each can sets it apart, it still maintains part of the easily recognizable SunUp brand.
Bearded Blonde Ale harkens back to the Viking Age with its tall, muscular and bearded blonde warrior character. The American Blonde Ale, along with every other beer in the collection, can be purchased at the brewery, local liquor stores and at locations such as Total Wine & More, Whole Foods Market and Beverages & More (also known as BevMo).
An attractive woman in sunglasses fronts the Tanline can – an English style Brown Ale. As the name suggests, the tanned character has visible tan lines on her back.
White Russian is an Imperial Coffee Stout. Therefore, the bold character on this can is pictured in front of the Kremlin and dressed in a stereotypical Russian garb, with the likeness of our Brewmaster Uwe Boer.
Trooper IPA is brewed as a classic Northwest style India Pale Ale. A depiction of an English colonial soldier from India matches the theme of this well-hopped craft beer.
Finally, Red Flash IPA offers a different type of India Pale Ale. Named for its beautiful amber color, Red Flash cans feature a powerful bird of prey, symbolizing the strength of this drink.
When asked about future flavors being introduced to the market, Tingleff said, “We are continuously looking for innovative flavors to keep up with our clients’ preferences. From reviving ancient brew recipes like Braggot’s, to experimenting with local AZ wild hops, SunUp will continue to push the boundaries of craft beer brewing in the Phoenix market.”
