Super Bowl Tickets Heat Up on BuyAnySeat.com As Game Day Temps Cool Down
Denver, CO (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Sales traffic for Super Bowl tickets is hot. That’s because prices are plummeting right along with the chilly weather predictions hitting up and down the eastern seaboard.
Forecasters say that at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, a clipper system will have moved through New Jersey, leaving just a few inches of new snow on the field at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Temps will be in the mid-30s at kickoff and are expected to drop from there. Brrr.
Meanwhile back at the box office, ticket prices have sunk to as low as $1,343 and of course, are still well over $70,000 per stub. That’s down another $200 from $1,537 for the lowest ticket price a few days ago. Most tickets are in the $1,800 and above range however, according to Marta Ault at online ticket marketplace BuyAnySeat.com.
“As a result of the dropping prices, last minute sales traffic for Super Bowl tickets is trending extremely high,” added Ault.
“That’s why we’re proud to offer fans the most comprehensive and continuously updated selection of sports tickets online, with a worry-free guarantee to protect their purchase.”
“To access the full line-up of Super Bowl tickets now available, customers can go to BuyAnySeat.com and click on the Super Bowl window, then click on either parking or the game to find their tickets,” said Ault.
For just the fifth time since the AFL/NFL merger, the league’s top-scoring offense will take on the league’s stingiest defense in the big game. The last meeting of statistical goliaths came nearly 25 years ago when the high-flying Bills bulled into the gritty Giants to close out the 1990 season. In a hard fought battle, defense prevailed as New York won 20-19.
But Denver has other ideas in 2014. The Bronco’s potent air attack and pounding ground game shattered NFL records this season. Never has a team scored more regular-season points (606) or gained as many yards (6,317) as the bustling Broncos. This season Denver scored an average of 37.9 points per game, a full 10 points per game above the second highest scoring Chicago Bears.
On the other hand, the Seahawks have been a virtual brick wall on defense. Seattle gave up a mere 213 points this season while opposing teams fought for every inch of the 4,378 yards they allowed. For comparison, the league’s worst defense, the Dallas Cowboys, gave up 6,645 yards, nearly 150 more yards per game on average.
Peyton Manning will look to become the first starting quarterback to win a Super Bowl for two different teams. He will likely earn an NFL MVP award for an unmatched fifth time this week and his 167 career wins are second only to Brett Favre.
On the other sideline stands his much younger and shorter rival Russell Wilson. The 5 foot 11 inch Seahawk signal caller averaged just 209.8 passing yards per game and threw for fewer than half as many touchdowns as Manning.
However, while playing in just his second season, he rushed for 539 yards, while leading Seattle to its second Super Bowl in the past decade. Wilson faces a tall task in trying to out-duel Peyton Manning this weekend, but with a league-leading defense at his back and Mother Nature in the mix, the game promises to be a hot one.
This will be the first Super Bowl to be played outdoors in a cold weather environment, the first played on February 2, the first to be played outdoors on artificial turf (in this case FieldTurf) since Super Bowl X at the Miami Orange Bowl, and the first in which two U.S. states (New York and New Jersey) will share hosting duties.
MetLife Stadium is a 360 degree outdoor venue with seating for 82,566 football fans, including 10,005 club seats and approximately 218 luxury suites, making it the largest venue in the NFL.
