Superstars of the Self-Help and Business Worlds Come Together in New Documentary
(PRWEB) October 21, 2013 -- It reads as a virtual “Who’s Who” for those interested in motivational thought or business: John Gray, Tony Hsieh, Neale Donald Walsch, Marci Schimoff and Don Fertman top the list of industry celebs joining forces as part of an exciting documentary, The Last Formula, which is currently raising $42k for post production funds via Indiegogo. The documentary is designed to help combat increasing rates of unhappiness and a lack of fulfillment in the business world that have lead to need for spirituality and mindfulness training. “Businesses often forget about the culture, and ultimately, they suffer for it because you can't deliver good service from unhappy employees,” Tony Hsieh has famously said. If the producers of The Last Formula have their way, that problem will soon be a thing of the past.
“Happiness Brings Us Success”
While countless studies have proven the definite link between worker happiness and productivity, a lack of changes on the part of business owners have left people seeming unhappier than ever in their jobs. Even employers who wish to make changes have found a shortage of information on how to implement them. This is where The Last Formula comes in. The Las Vegas based company making the documentary has traveled across the country to interview some of the best and brightest minds, asking how to use the human spirit to achieve very real goals. "We have a common myth in our culture. And the myth is that we think that success is going to make us happy. We have it backwards. Happiness brings us success. In fact, there’s research that’s shown that happier people are more successful,” says interviewee Marci Shimoff. “On average, they make more than a million dollars more in the course of their life."
Says Denny Morales, the film’s producer, “There has been many times when Melissa, my partner, after looking through the raw footage has come to me saying 'we really got some really phenomenal stuff.' Even we keep learning through this process, so we know this film is going to make a big splash.”
While the film will ultimately be completed in any case, Morales has stated that the film’s scheduled release in July of 2014 will be greatly improved by community support. The post production Indiegogo campaign lasts until November 19 and can be found here.
