SureVest Insurance Group Introduces a New Charity Campaign to Raise Funds and Support for Local Children With Cystic Fibrosis
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) October 08, 2015 -- SureVest Insurance Group reveals another remarkable charity campaign as part of its efforts to support the local community through its Community Enrichment Program. The Sami Caulberg 5K Run/Walk was initiated last year to help the Caulberg family with escalating medical bills. Sami’s father was fighting cancer when she began her battle with cystic fibrosis. With $14,000 raised the first year, the decision was made to continue the 5K fundraiser, hosted by Carroll Magnet Middle School, as an annual event aiding different designated local families facing crippling medical expenses.
This year, the fundraiser benefits two families dealing with cystic fibrosis. Sami’s friend, Cameron, has been her rock as she has faced her many challenges involved in living with CF. Only recently did Sami discover that Cameron is dealing with CF herself, and also needs assistance with medical bills. Another classmate, football player Steven Smith, has a younger brother fighting the same disease, and who has spent much time in the hospital. The event will take place on October 17th this year and donations for these families will be collected there.
