Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) October 08, 2015 -- SureVest Insurance Group reveals another remarkable charity campaign as part of its efforts to support the local community through its Community Enrichment Program. The Sami Caulberg 5K Run/Walk was initiated last year to help the Caulberg family with escalating medical bills. Sami’s father was fighting cancer when she began her battle with cystic fibrosis. With $14,000 raised the first year, the decision was made to continue the 5K fundraiser, hosted by Carroll Magnet Middle School, as an annual event aiding different designated local families facing crippling medical expenses.
This year, the fundraiser benefits two families dealing with cystic fibrosis. Sami’s friend, Cameron, has been her rock as she has faced her many challenges involved in living with CF. Only recently did Sami discover that Cameron is dealing with CF herself, and also needs assistance with medical bills. Another classmate, football player Steven Smith, has a younger brother fighting the same disease, and who has spent much time in the hospital. The event will take place on October 17th this year and donations for these families will be collected there. “We hope the community really rallies around this worthy event, providing these folks with much-needed support, as well as with donations,” said Chris Clark, SureVest’s principle. “Our team considers it an honor to raise awareness of what these families are going through. After all, neighbors helping neighbors is what we’re all about here.”
To help achieve their goal of $500, the agency’s network of customers, business partners, friends, family and staff are encouraged to actively participate; not only by contributing financially, but also by helping spread the word to others through this link: http://www.surevestinsurance.com/Comforting-Kids-with-Cystic-Fibrosis_20_community_cause. The agency will also donate $10 for every referral received during the campaign, no purchase necessary: http://www.surevestinsurance.com/Rewards_19.
The current campaign is being promoted through SureVest’s social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through their monthly magazine, delivered to thousands of households in the areas of greater Raleigh and Cornelius/Charlotte. Our Hometown magazine reserves a full page to feature this worthy cause, even acknowledging all of those who donate a minimum of $5 in their next issue. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue may be accessed here: http://www.surevestinsurance.com/magazine.
SureVest Insurance Group will continue to work with individuals and nonprofits in the area to identify new worthy opportunities to support and enrich the community every 30-90 days. Through the agency’s website, any member of the community may also submit information on groups, families or individuals who would benefit from a helping hand: http://www.surevestinsurance.com/Lets-Help-Our-Community-Submit-A-Community-Cause-Idea_40. Entries are diligently reviewed, and the selected worthy causes properly contacted by a representative of SureVest’s Community Program.
