Susan Pollack Joins Otis College of Art and Design as Vice President of Institutional Advancement
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 28, 2015 -- Otis College of Art and Design is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Susan Pollack as Vice President of Institutional Advancement, effective September 28, 2015.
Susan brings a distinguished record of experience to Otis, with more than three decades in the public, private, and non-profit sectors developing fundraising strategies for large organizations, educational institutions, local, national, and international non-profits, and notable political figures.

Susan will play a crucial role to help us further advance and strengthen the College, ensuring that we continue to make the best art and design education accessible for the 21st Century.”
Most recently, Susan served as Senior Vice President, Development for the Special Olympics World Games 2015. With 6,500 athletes and 2,000 coaches representing 165 countries, along with 30,000 volunteers and close to 500,000 spectators, the 2015 Special Olympics World Games – staged in Los Angeles July 25-August 2, 2015 – was the largest sports and humanitarian event anywhere in the world in 2015, and the single biggest event in Los Angeles since the 1984 Olympic Games.
Prior to the Special Olympics, she held the position of Chief External Relations Officer for the College Success Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing post-secondary education scholarships to high-potential, low-income students. In this position, she directed the foundation's marketing, communications, and government affairs activities while playing an active role in the organization's fundraising program.
Susan has served in senior development and fundraising capacities for such organizations as Columbia University's Barnard College, The Ross Institute, Estate of Penny and David McCall, and the Peter Pan Children's Fund. Her political experience includes working with U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Texas Governor Ann Richards, and Geraldine Ferraro. In the private sector, she held positions with Creative Artists Agency and Esprit de Corp.

The five-acre main campus is located on L.A.’s Westside near the beach and LAX; Fashion Design is in the heart of the downtown fashion district; and the Graduate Studios are on the Creative Corridor in nearby Culver City, and in the 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica.
2,700 adults and children participate in Continuing Education art and design classes and workshops.
