SWAIA Welcomes Charlene Porsild, PhD, Chief Business Development Officer
Santa Fe, New Mexico (PRWEB) July 22, 2013 -- The Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA) is pleased to welcome a new addition to their permanent staff: Charlene Porsild, PhD, SWAIA’s inaugural Chief Business Development Officer. Charlene’s professional expertise and wide-ranging experience will greatly benefit SWAIA’s daily and annual operations. Her insight into the particularities of fundraising and donor relations will be a valuable edition to the planning and production of the Santa Fe Indian Market.
Charlene comes to SWAIA with an extensive background in foundation, enterprise, and individual fundraising, program development, and grant writing. As the former Associate Research Professor and Assistant Director of the Robert Wood Johnson Center at the University of New Mexico, Charlene has secured over ten million dollars in funding over the course of her career. In addition to her experience in educational and cultural finance, she also brings a mastery of board development, event planning, teaching, and curating. At SWAIA, Charlene will synthesize her numerous skills in the direction of business, finance, and development operations. Her professional expertise will be an excellent addition to the organization.
