Swanty Insurance Group Joins Larimer County Nonprofit ‘Alternatives To Violence’ in Charity Drive to Benefit Domestic Abuse Victims
Loveland, CO (PRWEB) June 21, 2017 -- Swanty Insurance Group, a northern Colorado firm that offers asset protection and financial planning assistance to families and commercial clients in and around the Denver/Fort Collins region, is embarking on a cooperative charity initiative in conjunction with the ‘Alternatives to Violence’ organization in an effort to assist local abuse victims.
Alternatives to Violence (ATV) is a nonprofit organization offering emergency shelter and resources to survivors of domestic abuse. To date, ATV has raised nearly $1 million to purchase and refit a large home to provide 22 beds for abuse victims, but additional funds are needed to expand the facility and meet the growing demand from the local community.
“Every 9 seconds a woman in America is assaulted, which is why it’s so important for our community to have organizations like Alternatives to Violence that can help victims escape from dangerous environments,” says BJ Hill, founder and chief executive of the Swanty Insurance Group.
Ongoing efforts to raise awareness of Alternatives to Violence and generate community support to assist in the expansion of the facility are being spearheaded by the Hill team, and focus is presently placed on connecting with area residents over email and social media. Alternatives to Violence is the first charitable cause in northern Colorado supported by the Swanty Insurance Group since the firm became a new affiliate of the “Agents of Change” national charity support web.
