Trails of Light at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield – Littleton, Colorado
Out of their southern windows, eastbound travelers on C-470 will notice a spectacular display of more than one million lights. To get the full holiday experience, Swingle recommends exiting the highway, bundling up and taking a slow stroll through the winding park paths. 2013 highlights include synchronized music displays, a warming fire pit, free hayrides on select evenings and HoloSpex glasses.

“A Hudson Christmas” on south Santa Fe Boulevard features 30 acres of trails and exhibits illuminated by over 100,000 Christmas lights. Features include horse-drawn carriage rides, live caroling and musical performances, hot cocoa and Santa. Yes, the real one!

Downtown Parker, Colorado
Parker’s holiday season “kicks off” at the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting on the day after Thanksgiving. The Colorado School of Dance and Denver Municipal Band will perform. The Mayor, Town Council and Parker Chorale will join Santa and Mrs. Claus to lead the town in a sing-a-long of Silent Night as the lead-in to the grand park lighting. Carriage and hay wagon rides and warm refreshments are available during the event and Santa will receive Christmas wishes at the PACE Center afterward.
