Swisslog Introduces TransCheck Quality Validation Service for Transport in Healthcare Facilities
Westerstede, Germany (PRWEB) September 16, 2013 -- Swisslog Healthcare Solutions, the leading supplier of automation solutions for hospital material transport, today announced the release of its new TransCheck Validation Service for hospitals. The TransCheck Service analyzes and validates the transport quality using pneumatic tube systems by measuring physical parameters within the system and using the extracted data for validation and quality improvement recommendations. Using the TransCheck Validation Service, hospital and laboratory employees will expedite their accreditation and validation processes, saving time and reducing the associated cost. In addition, TransCheck relieves users from any ethical issues resulting from testing procedures: On average, a 90% reduction in actual patient samples needed for validation purposes is achievable. Designed specifically for validation of pneumatic tube systems, TransCheck demonstrates system quality for safe medical transport, identifies any necessary system improvements and supports internal (hospital) quality assurance and accreditation to ISO 15189.

The TransCheck Validation Service is based on the technical and medical research of the Dutch company Airocam BV, which developed and marketed the service under the Qcapsule brand. Since 2011, hospitals and laboratories have used the Qcapsule validation service for pneumatic tube systems. Recently, Swisslog has acquired this product from Airocam BV and will now market it under the name TransCheck.
