SwitchRay Launches VoIP Softswitch Product Upgrade Making it Easier for Carriers to Sell and Deploy Hosted PBX Solutions to Enterprise Customers
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 14, 2015 -- SwitchRay, a leading provider of VoIP softswitch solutions for retail and wholesale carriers, ISPs, wireline and wireless network operators, today announced and made available for immediate purchase its SR-S5000 Class 5 Softswitch version 1.9 for new and existing customers. The product upgrade is designed to simplify selling and deploying new hosted PBX solutions, and scaling of both subscribers and services. Additional security features make it easier for larger, more complicated deployments and a new flexible licensing policy makes it easier to customize product offerings (e.g. small office, enterprise, softphone option, etc.) in order to meet market needs.
Hosted PBX systems are becoming increasingly popular. The key problem for retail VoIP operators is to keep up with market demand both in terms of the number and quality of services that can be offered and huge subscriber growth. As the number of systems increases, so does their variety and complexity with long lists of features to be configured and allocated to many different types of end users. This often results in an administrative burden that needs to be shared between users and different levels of system administrators.
Version 1.9 (V1.9) of the SR-S5000 Class 5 software solves this problem in a number of ways. SwitchRay’s EasyPBX feature makes it simpler to administer individual domains with the appropriate presets, subscriber licenses and range of services, helping the platform scale to new and larger customers. Instead of managing a long list of independent features, V1.9 offers a Service Packages function that allows features to be grouped and assigned as one unit, and API enhancements allow these changes to be made outside the standard user interface.
Further adding to the scalability and ease of deployment, the new Optimized License Policy allows tailored license packages to be created for different retail service offerings both with and without the Mayak Mobile softphone companion application. To ensure scalability and robustness, the new release comes with Advanced CDR Management that allows CDRs to be offloaded daily instead of monthly for faster and more reliable access. Additionally, the system now supports new levels of Admin Role Management so that departmental and user administration can be assigned to local power users instead of the system admin, increasing monitoring capabilities without sacrificing security. “This new release further enhances our hosted PBX management solution, making it even easier for our customers to sell and deploy a diverse range of service offerings to their clients,” commented Steve Petilli, president & CEO of SwitchRay, Inc. “By further enhancing our flagship retail VoIP platform in this way, we are enabling operators to deliver the highest quality services to their subscribers.”
