Swordfish Communications Announces its Founder has been Selected as a Linkedin “Top Voice” of 2015
Laurel Springs, NJ (PRWEB) December 29, 2015 -- Swordfish Communications, a full-service public relations agency in New Jersey, announces that the editors at Linkedin have named company founder and president Gary Frisch one of its “Top Voices” of 2015, a compilation of “the writers you need to follow.”
The list is comprised of 10 Linkedin contributors in each of nine categories: Money and Finance, Technology, Marketing and Social, Healthcare, VC and Entrepreneurship, Media, Management and Culture, Education, and Influencers. “They've inspired new ideas and sparked conversations,” says the heading of the magazine-style feature on the website.
Frisch, who contributed 18 articles during 2015, is listed in the Management and Culture category. He frequently writes about public relations issues surrounding well-known brands, and analyzes how their audiences are likely to respond. Recently, he has covered Volkswagen’s apology in the emissions scandal, Starbucks’ red cup controversy, Subway’s crisis involving its spokesman Jared Fogle, and the worldwide reaction to the killing of the lion, Cecil, in Zimbabwe.
To determine its Top Voices, Linkedin measured a number of criteria to determine writers who were making a mark in their industries: engagement around content; growth of followers tied to publishing; number of times the writer had been featured in a channel in their area of expertise; and how often the contributor had been chosen as an Editors' Pick.
“Writing can be a lonely, nerve-wracking process: you’re putting yourself and your beliefs out there for everyone to critique or build on. Those who have gotten the bug for writing know the real joy comes not in writing but in having written,” wrote Linkedin Executive Editor Daniel Roth on the website. “Once you hit publish, the ideas bouncing around in your head turn into a worldwide conversation: you help shape the world of your readers and they help shape yours with their informed comments.”
“It feels great to be acknowledged for my contributions. To be listed in the company of Richard Branson, Jill Schlesinger and so many other thought leaders is an incredible honor,” said Frisch. “Linkedin is the only platform I know of where you can self-publish, and have your work potentially read by hundreds of thousands of people. It’s a great tool for any individual or organization.”
