T.E.N.’s Marci McCarthy Joins Strategic Advisory Board for the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals
ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- T.E.N. CEO & President Marci McCarthy has joined the Strategic Advisory Board for the International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP).
The organization launched in 2014 to help bridge the ‘great cyber divide’ that results from the ongoing under-representation of minorities in the fast-growing field of cyber security. The ICMCP aims to tackle this ‘divide’ with scholarship opportunities, technical training programs, innovative outreach, mentoring and networking programs targeting minority cyber security professionals worldwide and by promoting academic and technical excellence in the industry.

Her extensive career in marketing and leadership programs to increase the number of female and other minority students pursuing cybersecurity related disciplines; facilitate the career advancement of existing professionals through mentoring; and promote public awareness of cybersecurity and other opportunities for minorities in the profession.

A 2012 recipient of a 4th Congressional District of Georgia citation, McCarthy was lauded for fostering greater visibility and professionalism for the IT security industry.
