Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- Phoenix-based tactical products company, Wilderness Tactical Products has introduced their own design of the classic Renegade Ankle Holster. Both heavy-duty elastic and custom leather models are now available for a wide variety of firearms at http://www.thewilderness.com. They are also available from our first stocking dealer for them, Legendary Guns of the West in Phoenix, and will soon be available through the Wilderness network of dealers.

Originally created by the now defunct Renegade Holster and Leather Co., The Wilderness retailed Renegade's "Cozy Partner” ankle holster for years before they went out of business. The Wilderness version was modified and enhanced in-house before sale, and it proved very popular with law enforcement, armed citizens, and Wilderness staff for many years. When it became unavailable, The Wilderness opted to release its own improved version for customers looking for the same quality holster that Renegade was able to provide. The design still includes the same features that made the Renegade Holster one-of-a-kind, but adds a few improvements from Wilderness including a Velcro-hook overlock, a retention strap made from their own XHD elastic webbing for easy release, and other refinements. Leather bodies are being made by custom leathermaker Mark Garrity of Garrity’s Gunleather and sewn on Wilderness elastic bodies. The new Renegade Ankle Holster is currently made for small revolvers and various small and medium-sized autos. Wilderness continues to expand the compatibility list of firearm models for both the elastic and leather holster holster bodies.
