Tailwind Transportation Software Raises Capital To Invest In The Future
Delta, British Columbia (PRWEB) August 29, 2014 -- Tailwind Transportation Software recently put in place a new management team and received an investment of $500,000 to fund its new support, development, and marketing initiatives. The Company is already hiring and training new support staff to serve its existing customers. It is also developing new software products and an Android app to better meet the changing needs of freight brokers and trucking carriers. In addition, Tailwind will invest in marketing initiatives to increase awareness of its products for the freight transportation industry. This round of funding is the first of multiple installments Tailwind is expecting to receive.
Most recently Tailwind has improved its support service offering by adding support staff and implementing new support management systems. The Company is developing training resources for its customers and support staff to speed up the implementation process. The additional staff is improving response times and overall customer satisfaction.
Tailwind is about to release new web-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for freight transportation companies, such as freight brokers and trucking carriers. The first new offering, Tailwind Express, is based off the Company’s popular Enterprise software suite. Its starting price is expected to be $89/user/month. Tailwind Express will be released in mid-September 2014.
Tailwind has also released its first Android app on Google Play. The app will allow users to easily access their Tailwind TMS software from mobile Android devices. It has the ability to create and manage customers, orders, shipments, and dispatched driver trips. The app can also capture signatures, create and send notes and messages, and more.
In addition, Tailwind is in the process of adding more features to its Enterprise software, such as additional GPS and ACI e-manifest integrations, Automated Document Imaging and additional loadboards. Adding features to Enterprise will be an ongoing process for Tailwind. No release dates for an updated Enterprise software version have been announced.
Tailwind has also expanded many of its marketing activities with the expectation of bolstering new sales for Enterprise and the upcoming Tailwind Express.
