Taiwan Complimentary Half-day Tour - A Taste of Taiwan for Transit Tourists

Taiwan Tourism Bureau is promoting a complimentary half-day tour to satisfy travelers' desires to tour the exciting Taiwan during their layovers in Taipei. Valid R.O.C. visa holders or those who are from visa-exempt countries, are eligible to apply for the tour during their 7 to 24-hour layover before their connecting flights. Passengers' travel documents must be valid for at least six months. There are morning and afternoon tours available to choose from. Qualified travelers are welcome to participate in one of the two tours below:
The morning tour, “Sanxia-Yingge Pottery & Ceramics Tour,” is an itinerary that includes Sanxia & Zushi Temple, Yingge Old Strip, and Yingge Ceramics Museum. Sanxia is a bustling town with narrow, winding streets and brick buildings; many of them are over a century old. The elegant historical atmosphere awaits travelers to explore its own unique beauty. Yingge is a pottery heaven where you will find the Yingge Ceramics Museum. The modernism and simplicity in the museum’s interior design brings calm and peace to tourists' minds. This morning half-day tour allows travelers to experience Taiwan’s traditional folk religion, mesmerizing temple architectures, and the superb craftsmanship of the traditional and modern artifacts.
The afternoon tour, “Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall-Modern Taipei 101," is for tourists to enjoy the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and the famous landmark - Taipei 101. The tour starts with the bird’s-eye view from the majestic hall towers of over 25 hectares of landscaped gardens, graceful pavilions, and ponds. The elegant Ming Dynasty-style arch at the main entrance is flanked by two classical architecture – the National Theater and the National Concert Hall. The square between the two buildings is a popular gathering space during festive occasions. The tour follows with a visit to the 2nd tallest building in the world - the Taipei 101, where visitors get to experience Taiwan’s unique culture, creativity, design, and its most unique trending styles.
Registration for the tour is very simple and easy. Participating travelers can book a tour upon arrival at the Tourist Service Center located in the Arrival Lobby, both available at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the Taoyuan International Airport.
