Taiwan Tourism Bureau Los Angeles Office at The Taste, Los Angeles’s Most Extraordinary Culinary Expo, Attracted Huge Crowds for a Taste of Taiwan
(PRWEB) September 07, 2016 -- Taiwan Tourism Bureau Los Angeles Office participated in The Taste, Los Angeles’s most extraordinary culinary expo on September 4th. A special invitation is extended to Kavalan Whisky, who won the title of the "Best Single Malt" at the World Whiskies Awards (WWA) for two consecutive years. Together with the very popular 85°C Bakery cafe and Tea Station of Ten Ren's Tea, this festive event kicked off at Paramount Pictures Studios at 7:30 PM on the night of the event.
Tea Station of Ten Ren's Tea tantalized event goers' taste buds with an exclusive item, the Pu-erh flavored beef noodle soup. The noodle soup combines the pure taste of Pu-erh tea with beef stew and paired with green tea noodles. Produced by King Car Whisky Distillery in Yilan County utilizing Taiwan's climate and Taiwan's pure spring water of snow mountain, Kavalan whisky is then aged in premium imported oak barrels. Kavalan whisky has become one of the world’smost renowned liquor, and is available for sampling for the first time at The Taste. With a huge following of American customers, 85°C Bakery cafe offered their limited edition Oh!Bear chocolate buns and chocolate mousse cakes. This joint effort of promotional activities definitely created lots of exciting buzzes for the event!
Taiwan Tourism Bureau's Director Brad Shih shared that, "This year, the Taiwan booth is different from the past by defying the traditional view many Americans hold on Taiwanese gourmet as limited to night market snacks. We are very privileged to have our established and motivating partners to whet the appetite of food lovers with a full range oftea meals, fine liquor, and desserts. We also welcome American travelers to experience tea making and distilling first hand by taking featured tours to tea fields and the King Car Whisky Distillery in Taiwan."
Besides the extremely popular Pu-erh flavored beef stew noodle soup, first-of-its-kind Oh!Bear chocolate buns and chocolate mousse cakes, and tasting of the world’s number one whisky, our Super Task Force Director Oh!Bear himself appeared as the chef master to interact with visitors. A giant night market style pinball game was set up for everyone to enjoy; the adorable limited edition Oh!Bear shot glasses, Tea Station coupons, and the special edition Year of the Monkey lanterns from the Taiwan Lantern Festival were also given away to our guests for them to immerse inthe full experience of Taiwanese cuisine and the night market fun.
