Talygen Launches New Message Board Features; Lets People Determine Privacy Settings for Each Post
Palo Alto, California (PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- Talygen, the leading provider of business management automation solutions, today unveiled new features for its Message Board Module. The program now lets users toggle with privacy and visibility settings for each of their posts. They can determine whether their messages can be seen by everyone, by people in a specific department, or by selected users.
"This is a great feature for our Message Board," said Harold Saini, Chief Program Manager at Talygen. "On top of allowing users to post messages specific to each project, the module now lets them specify who sees what. This improves privacy and reduces clutter in the Message Board. Users won’t have to get bombarded with messages that they don’t need to see."
The new settings of the Talygen Message Board Module are:
1. Everyone - The post will be available to everyone in the company. Any user can post and comment on the message. This is especially helpful for company-wide announcements. Users can also take advantage of this feature when taking polls or discussing inter-departmental issues.
2. Department - If the "Department" setting is selected, the post will only be available to members of selected departments. With this enabled, anyone who’s part of the specified group will be able to post and comment.
3. User - If this setting is enabled, the post will only be available to selected users and no one but them will be allowed to see or comment on the post. This will come in handy when someone needs to communicate with two or more individuals. Instead of manually sending a private message to each one, they can simply start a message board thread, indicate the users they want to communicate with, and post the message.
"The new features are a boon for senders and receivers alike," said Saini. "Posters can rest easy knowing that their messages will only be seen by concerned individuals, while receivers, along with everyone else in the company will only get the messages relevant to them."
Saini noted that on top of protecting the privacy of users, it also cleans up the message boards and notifications of each member. This reduces the chance that they will miss important posts due to the presence of irrelevant messages. It also reduces overwhelm among members of the organization because they’ll only be exposed to messages that concern them.
