Tamara Yates’ New Book Helps Children Find Magic Within
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (PRWEB) February 28, 2015 -- Author Tamara Yates believes true magic lies within each and every person. She drives this point home in her new children’s chapter book, “A Magic Book and the Faerie Queen” (published by Balboa Press), which follows three sisters who discover that faeries exist.
Lena, Ella and Lani love hearing their mother’s story about the many magical creatures that once inhabited the planet. The idea of the faeries captivates the girls the most. According to the story, all of the magical creatures are now in an eternal slumber due to an evil sorcerer’s spell and can only be awoken by children’s love.
Throughout “A Magic Book and the Faerie Queen,” readers will watch as the three sisters struggle to find the gifts needed to free the faeries, only to discover the magic was within them all the time. The girls must defeat the sorcerer and break his spell to set the faeries free.
“In today’s society, one of the loudest messages is that we have to look ‘out there’ for the next thing to make us feel better, look better or fit in, instead of finding it within ourselves,” Yates says. “I feel it’s important to encourage children to recognize and embrace their own personal power.”
