Tampa Bay Accountant, M. Javier Zuñiga Speaks about International Tax
Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) February 26, 2015 -- M. Javier Zuñiga, Senior Consulting Manager from PDR CPAs, was one of five speakers at the “International Trade in Tampa Bay” panel discussion which was hosted by Bay Area Manufacturers Association on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in Clearwater, FL.
He spoke about the importance of understanding international tax issues and warned the audience about the harsh penalties assessed by the IRS if filing requirements aren’t met. Moreover, he spoke about international tax treaties, FBAR disclosure requirements and transfer pricing.
The panel provided insight into how Tampa Bay is working to open more international markets for exporting and attracting foreign businesses to U.S. soil. Alliances have already been forged with Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Panama and Switzerland. Selling more goods and services internationally would be a huge benefit to our local manufacturers and other businesses in the Tampa Bay area. In December, there was a joint Hillsborough – Pinellas trade mission to Chile and more are set to be planned for the upcoming year.
