Tangram Business Resourcing Announces Disability Inclusion Pilot Project With National Retailer Jimmy Jazz
INDIANAPOLIS (PRWEB) October 13, 2017 -- Tangram Business Resourcing (TBR), the disability inclusion training and consultation division of Tangram, a disability services non-profit in Indianapolis, has announced a partnership with Jimmy Jazz, a national retailer offering premier lifestyle clothing, streetwear and footwear.
Jimmy Jazz has over 170 stores across America, including one in Indianapolis. “Jimmy Jazz values diversity and the uniqueness of all of our employees and customers, said David Wachter, division president of Jimmy Jazz Direct. “It is our belief in embracing the unique talents of all that has spearheaded our decision to actively recruit qualified candidates with disabilities.”
TBR’s experience in managing large-scale disability inclusion initiatives within the retail, customer service and distribution arenas and a demonstrated expertise in fostering relationships with local community organizations made them an ideal fit for this project.
TBR will launch a disability inclusion pilot project, focusing on Jimmy Jazz call center and fulfillment center in Secaucus, New Jersey, beginning in October—which, fittingly, is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The project will feature disability awareness and etiquette training for Jimmy Jazz employees and will build sustainability by forging partnerships between local disability service and other community organizations.
An essential and unique component of this project is the opportunity for community organizations to tour Jimmy Jazz facilities, meet Jimmy Jazz personnel, and learn about the company culture and job openings. TBR believes this collaboration between businesses and local organizations that serve the disability community leads to a better understanding between these groups and is vital to the sustainability of disability inclusion initiatives.
“Tangram Business Resourcing is proud to partner with Jimmy Jazz, a progressive company that recognizes how incorporating disabilities in their diversity strategies and practices positively impacts their bottom line,” said Kathy Bernhardt, managing director of TBR. "We look forward to supporting them in their goal of becoming an employer of choice for individuals with disabilities.”
