Tapella & Eberspacher LLC Lawyer Angel Wawrzynek Organizes Holiday Benefit in December
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) January 13, 2015 -- Last month, Tapella & Eberspacher LLC lawyer Angel Wawrzynek served as the chairperson for the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA)/Young Lawyer Division (YLD) 17th Annual Holiday Party and organized the event. The party took place December 5 and was held to benefit the Illinois Bar Foundation Children’s Assistance Fund.
The party was held at Duffy's Tavern and Grille in Chicago, IL, and tickets were sold for $50 per person. The ticket price granted attendees appetizers, live entertainment, and access to an open bar.
Alternatively, participants had the option to sponsor the Holiday Party, with levels of sponsorship ranging from Supporter ($250) to Honorary Host ($5,000). The names of the 20 sponsors of this year’s Holiday Party were publicized to more than 30,000 members of the ISBA.
“Angel has been involved with the Young Lawyers Division for a couple of years now,” said Rick Hall, Business Manager at Tapella & Eberspacher. “This party is just one of a number of ways that our lawyers have ongoing involvement with different philanthropic efforts, whether they’re visiting veterans in the hospital and handing out care packages or assisting such organizations as Court Appointed Children Advocates (CASA) for children.”
The Children’s Assistance Fund began for the purpose of creating and maintaining waiting rooms for children in courthouses, but has expanded to include other efforts that benefit children in the legal realm.
The fund also supports organizations that assist children in the ways of reducing instances of juvenile criminal behavior and reduce incidents of domestic violence. The Young Lawyer’s Division has distributed more than $300,000 in grants through the fund over the last 16 years; participation in the annual Holiday Party has been an instrumental part of that.
“Our involvement doesn’t just help law associations; it also extends to and focuses on helping our community,” added Hall.
