Tarp Plus Adopts Philanthropic Programs and Gets More in Return
Palmdale, CA (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- Tarps plus decided to donate 500 tarps to the homeless starting in 2008, never expecting to get anything a return. Since then, the California-based tarp company has donated thousands of tarps to homeless shelters across the country. This year tarps plus donated over 2500 tarps to the Los Angeles city homeless. Tarps plus in collaboration with the Los Angeles mission was on hand donating supplies and assisting with serving meals for the city's homeless.
The company's philanthropic efforts do not end there. Plans have been made for producing a pink tarp line with a portion of the net earnings going to breast cancer research. Several other products have been adopted for charitable causes as well.
Tarps plus CEO and founder Michael Stein says, "It's important for us to have a company that makes us feel like we're doing something important. Donating tarps to the homeless as well of this thinking of other unique ways to help other charities is the least we can do."
Stein, plans another program to which he plans to invite other companies to support cities that have been stricken with natural disasters in the United States. The plan is to load up a company truck filled with products as well as donated clothing and canned food for people struggling after a natural disaster has stricken their city. The program will be launched in the spring of 2014 and will be called, "Abadak Air". Abadak is the mother company of Tarps Plus.
Part of Tarps Plus' sales pitch to other companies to join them is the overwhelming spike in sales since they have started their charity driven events. Ever since they started their philanthropic programs, the first being a tarp drive in 2008, the tarp company has seen over 500% increase in sales.
