Defect Unification Across Disciplines

Before the Rational Unified Process, DevOps, and agile processes, defects were created and managed by QA resources with work allocated to development in regular planning meetings or via spreadsheets. Increasingly, the line between development and QA has blurred, with defects and stories being the currency of both organizations. With testers, developers, and project managers all wanting different things from their view of defects, the result is complex workflows and long defect forms with too many mandatory fields. In this session, Tasktop’s Dave West will describe how organizations are using Tasktop Sync and the Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapters to ensure that work flows seamlessly between the disciplines.
