Taste of Brews Brings Its Unique Spin on Oktoberfest to the Inland Empire on Saturday, October 4, 2014
Corona, Inland Empire, California (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- Oktoberfest is coming to Corona on Saturday October 4 from 12-5pm at Crossroads Riverview Park! Festivities of Bavarian proportions await attendees as national, regional, and local breweries pour their finest fall, winter and German-themed beer. Taste of Brews Oktoberfest features samples and full size beers, live German entertainment, the Tom Cats band, contests and activities, along with German food for purchase. Proceeds benefit L.O.R.E. and the 1st Marine Division. Detailed information can be found at http://www.tasteofbrews.com and https://www.facebook.com/tasteofbrews.
For the first time in Taste of Brews’ history, attendees can imbibe on both sample and full size beers in a unique hybrid of traditional Oktoberfest and Taste of Brews. Libations come from near and far breweries, including Inland Empire locals Black Market Brewery, Brew Rebellion, and I & I Brewing and series regulars like Fireman’s, Sam Adams, Firestone and more. Two different ticket packages are available to choose from (each features the option for refills for $5 at the event’s discretion):
- Bavarian, or the VIP package, includes a 5oz sampling mug with 10 tastes and two 14oz beers in a souvenir mug (package limited to 250).
- Prost includes a 5oz sampling mug with 10 tastes and two 10/12oz beers.
If the brews are not enough to keep you busy, Oktoberfest provides live entertainment for attendees to enjoy including Linda Herman’s Alpine Band. This three piece Bavarian-style group plays a selection of foot stomping, thigh slapping German tunes. The IE’s own Tomcats create the perfect recipe for dancing, fun and great times with country, classic rock, blues and oldies. Attendees also can participate in fun Oktoberfest activities and contests like Chicken Dance Contests, Beer Stein Endurance Contests, Balloon Blowing Contests and Yodeling Contests. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes, so be sure to stock up on suspenders!
Taste of Brews Okoberfest features a more intimate biertasting environment to celebrate Oktoberfest. Rather than fight the masses, enjoy delicious fall and winter brews amongst a smaller community of beer lovers. Crossroads Riverview Park offers an eclectic background to entertain, while providing enough space to sit and overhead to block the sun. Ticket prices range from $30-50, ages 21 and above only. Gourmet food trucks will be onsite for those that wish to purchase meals. Parking at venue is $5; cash preferred.
