NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) December 01, 2016 -- Taste of Home, the leading food and entertaining brand, brings its Gingerbread Boulevard installation to New York City’s Madison Square Park for the third consecutive holiday season. The free event features a life-size, interactive Gingerbread House – bigger and better than ever – that visitors can enter for a holiday wonderland experience. Folgers® Coffee returns as the presenting sponsor of Gingerbread Boulevard, bringing America’s Favorite Family Moments to the installation’s visitors – in-person and digitally across the country.

We encourage people from across the country to join the fun and share photos of their holiday traditions on social media, with the hashtag #holidayheritage.

Built with ginger “bricks” and topped with a “frosting”-covered roof, the Taste of Home Gingerbread House’s exterior will be adorned with decorative peppermint sticks, gum drops and other colorful candy-like trimmings. Upon entering the house, visitors will experience virtual and interactive elements, including “America’s Holiday Mantel,” a digital screen that prominently displays consumer-submitted photos that use the hashtag #holidayheritage.

In addition to being streamed in the Taste of Home Gingerbread House, user-generated photos will also be featured in exclusive “Folgers Family Feed” ad units that will run across Taste of Home digital channels. When consumers share their photos on social media using the hashtag #holidayheritage, these tagged photos will then publish to America’s Holiday Mantel and the Folgers Family Feed.

The house will feature other components for visitors, including the ability to decorate an interactive Christmas tree with the touch of their fingertips, a greeting from a virtual marshmallow snowman and much more.

The live experience kicks off on December 6, 2016 with the Madison Square Park tree-lighting ceremony, and visitors will have until December 18, 2016 to join in the holiday spirit at Gingerbread Boulevard. Organizers expect up to 350,000 visitors during the two-week-long installation, with an estimated reach of 10 million people via social media.
