Tasting, Touring and Shopping at the Gloucester Wine Festival
Gloucester, VA (PRWEB) October 17, 2013 -- It’s true. The wineries are coming from near and far Virginia for the 4th Annual Gloucester Wine Festival hosted by the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce at Brent and Becky’s Bulbs on Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
But so are the 50 vendors who will help shape the Gloucester Wine Festival into a tasting and shopping event.
“Jewelry, fine foods, gourmet treats, antiques, ladies fashions, art, local community groups…I could go on and on,” said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Makalia Records. “We are delighted to see so many businesses coming out to support the wine festival. Even more so, we’re thrilled that so many businesses see participating and supporting the wine festival as a good way to grow their business, connect to the community and meet new customers.”
This year’s Gloucester Wine Festival is expected to draw a crowd of more than 1,200. At least, that’s how many wine glasses the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce ordered.
“We are fully prepared to make arrangements to get more wine glasses for people to taste if more than that want to attend,” Records said. “We have already sold more tickets now than we sold in all of last year and we still have a couple of weeks to go before the event.”

Event organizers, thanks to a sponsorship by Chesapeake Bank, have also secured three live bands to play at the festival – The Deloreans, the region’s premier 1980s cover band; StonesThrow, a powerhouse acoustic duo; and Something Different, which features a rising vocalist with pipes like Adele and Nora Jones.
The Gloucester Wine Festival will feature 10 award-winning wineries this year, the most the festival has ever featured.
Confirmed wineries this year include Good Luck Cellars of Kilmarnock; Saude Creek Vineyards of Lanexa; James River Cellars of Glen Allen; Vault Field Vineyards of Kinsale; Notaviva Vineyards of Loudoun County; Athena Vineyards of Heathsville; Trump Winery of Charlottesville; Mattaponi Winery of Spotsylvania; Chateau Morrisette of Floyd County and the DeVault Family Vineyards of Concord.
Brent and Becky’s Bulbs is located at 7900 Daffodil Lane.
Tickets for the 4th Annual Gloucester Wine Festival can be purchased online.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available at various levels, from $100 to $3,500, and include benefits of event tickets, private tables, wine glasses and advertising.
