Tate Airflow Announces New DirectAire® Al
Jessup, MD (PRWEB) June 05, 2014 -- Tate Airflow™, the newly launched global brand of next generation airflow management products and services, is introducing its latest directional airflow panel DirectAire® Al. The new panel offers a light-weight high performance alternative to standard grates by directing airflow from the raised floor plenum to the data center racks.
Similar to Tate’s other directional airflow panels DirectAire Al delivers airflow from the floor to a standard 42U server rack at an angle, providing a Capture Index of 93 percent and helps to eliminate bypass air. The Aluminum panels feature a 60 percent open area that supplies 1,913 CFM at .06” H2O when installed without a damper. DirectAire Al is capable of achieving a design load of 1,500lbs with an ultimate load over 3,000lbs for a 2 times safety factor. The light-weight aluminum panel offers superb rolling performance and weighs under 25lbs making handling easier during move in and other changes.

DirectAire Al is designed to be compatible with 24” or 60cm ConCore® panels in the bolted stringer understructure system. Other features include a structural rib design that makes it smoother for wheeled equipment, pre-drilled holes for field mounting a manual adjustable Single & Multi-zone Opposed Blade Dampers or fully automated SmartAire® damper. The panel features a built in viewing area for accessing the SmartAire’s user interface, and a directional arrow casted into the surface for easy reference during installation. As with our other airflow panels, the DirectAire Al panel will be coated with Spartklite white anti-static powder with peel finish.
