Tech Industry Executive, David Raun, Joins Magma’s Board of Advisors
San Diego, Ca (PRWEB) August 13, 2015 -- Magma, a manufacture of high performance computing expansion solutions, has added David Raun to its board of advisors. Raun, a long time high tech executive, adds his over 30 years of experience bringing new technologies to market, to Magma’s board. His knowledge and insights will be important as Magma refines its strategies to leverage its PCI Express core competencies and drive growth in high performance computing and big data applications according to Magma president, Tim Miller.

Raun spent 10 years in various executive positions at PLX Technology (PLX), the leader in PCI Express switch semiconductors, becoming President & CEO in 2012. PLX’s products were used by Cisco, Juniper, EMC, NetApp, HP, Dell and Huawei as well as many of the large cloud companies. Ultimately, Raun managed the acquisition of PLX by Avago Technologies in 2014, becoming Avago’s VP & GM of Express Switching within the Data Center Solutions Group.
