Technical Equipment Announces Several New Doosan Machine Tools
Cincinnati, Ohio (PRWEB) January 07, 2014 -- Technical Equipment today announced the release of several new machine tools.
Effective immediately, the machine tool distributor will offer the all-new Doosan PUMA GT2100 Series of Turning Centers which replace Doosan’s Puma 240 and Puma 280 Series of turning centers, as well as three upgraded versions of Doosan’s DNM Series of Vertical Machining Centers.
“We’re excited to offer our customers Doosan’s new PUMA GT2100 series of heavy duty turning centers, featuring a smaller footprint,” Technical Equipment President Lou Olson said. “They occupy 14% less space than their corresponding Puma models and incorporate a new structure designed to increase tool life and enhance chip disposal.”
New features of the Doosan DNM II Vertical Machining Centers include an all-new operator panel with several “hot keys” for easier set up. New performance features found on the DNM II include roller-type linear guideways and an in-line spindle (on12K models), both of which enable users to take deeper cuts and achieve a superior surface finish, Olson noted. The DNM400, DNM500 and DNM650 models are now available as DNM400II, DNM500II and DNM650II, respectively.
All machines feature Fanuc CNC controls and drives, with EZ Guide as standard. EZ Guide offers a programming assist function that combines G Code programming power with a Conversational utility.

Technical Equipment also began offering a new Makino U Series Wire EDM in November.
