Teen Author, Linda Maria Frank, Will Participate in a Book Fair Known as Author/Illustrator Night, at Eugene Auer Memorial Elementary School
Massapequa Park, N.y. (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- Annie Tillery Mysteries will be a featured series at the Eugene Auer Memorial Elementary School in Middle Country School District on Long Island. The event is co-hosted by the Eugene Auer PTA and Long Island Children's Writers and Illustrators. Linda Maria Frank, author of "The Madonna Ghost" and "Girl with Pencil Drawing" will be one of the featured authors.
The events are called Author/Illustrator nights and entail an evening program opened to the students and teachers of the school, and their parents. Unlike book fairs where only the books are represented, the Author/Illustrator nights sponsored by LICWI and the PTA include the opportunity for students to not only investigate the authors and their books before hand, but to meet and speak with the authors. These programs are true supporters of a life-long reading habit.
The event will take place on February 25, from 7p.m. to 9p.m. in the schools gymnasium. The students well take part in a preparatory exercise, "Adopt-An-Author-Program" where an individual author will be investigated by a specific class.
