Teenage Cello Rock Band Synergy Releases their Debut Album, Expect Nothing Less, in Response to Fan Demand
Springville, UT (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- Synergy, the award-winning teenage cello rock band sensation, today announced the debut of their new album, "Expect Nothing Less". The album features the upbeat rock music created by four high school sophomores who write and perform together as Synergy. Listeners of the band are surprised the rock sounds they hear are coming from – not guitars, bass, and drums – but three cellists and a drummer/percussionist.
To celebrate their debut, Synergy is performing at the UCCU Family Festival at Utah Valley University, Friday November 22nd on the main stage from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.
These hard-rocking musicians, cellists Soren Peterson, Trevin Powell, Jordan Nelson and drummer, Jared Snelson, have been together since 2010 and are frequently requested performers for local events and charity benefit concerts.
“We’re just doing what we love,” said cellist Soren Peterson. “There’s been a huge demand for CD’s at all our shows. We’ve written a lot of original songs and learned a lot of covers so we decided it’s time to record an album which has been a huge dream for us since we got together as a band. We’re really excited to get our music out there.”
Their debut album has been entirely funded by generous fan donations at concerts and through a recent Kickstarter campaign.
For help in producing the album, Synergy credits many people, but especially their continually supportive fans. Synergy says that without their fans the album would not have been possible. Synergy fans are commonly heard making comments similar to the one, made by fan Hilari Birkes:
"Finally I got my thirst for live music quenched, these dudes are awesome!" said Hilari Birkes, cello rock band fan. "Synergy played everything from Metallica to the White Stripes. If my eyes were closed I would never have guessed how young they are."
