tekVizion Validates 911 ETC’s E-911 Services for Microsoft Lync
PLANO, Texas, U.S.A (PRWEB) November 19, 2015 -- tekVizion has completed an interoperability test for 911 ETC validating that its VoIPConnect emergency services work with Microsoft Lync 2013*. The results show that 911 ETC customers using Microsoft Lync 2013 can place 911 calls and enable routing to appropriate authorities.

tekVizion tested 911 routing for the 911 ETC VoIPConnect service on the Sonus Networks’ mid-size enterprise SBC 1000 platform for calls made from Microsoft Lync 2013. The Sonus SBC was chosen for its scalable performance, robust security, and intuitive user interface. VoIPConnect provides an organization with an efficient and cost-effective way to manage its E-911 database. When a 911 call is placed, the solution sends the Emergency Location Identification Number (ELIN) to 911 ETC, which routes the call along with location information to the nearest Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).
