"We are excited and honored to accept the invitation to participate in CompTIA's 2013 Telecom Advisory Council," commented Adam Edwards, president of Telarus. "In our very short time as a CompTIA member we’ve already been on the receiving end of tremendously valuable live training and we look forward to the chance to 'give back', to share our experiences and expertise with the other members of the CompTIA TAC for the betterment of our Channel."
Telarus will serve on the TAC until August 31, 2014, at which time a four new members will be considered. The TAC is comprised of 8 industry leads who serve either one or two year terms, and shape the direction and priorities for CompTIA training events, outreach initiatives, and live conferences.
"The boundaries between telecom and IT, once clear and distinct, have virtually disappeared due to emerging technologies, changes in business models and customer demand for simplified buying processes," said Annette Taber, Vice President, Channel Strategies, CompTIA.
"This change presents great opportunities accompanied by tough challenges," Taber continued. "Our Telecom Advisory Council brings together industry experts and thought leaders to help us identify the factors that lead to success and to guide the development of training, research, credentials and other resources for the industry.
