Telecom Operator, CEO and Growth Story shortlists announced for TMT Finance MENA 2014 Awards
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (PRWEB UK) 20 April 2014 -- Gulf-based telcos Du, Etisalat, Ooredoo, STC, Zain and Mobily of Saudi Arabia are vying for this year’s Operator of the Year Award at the TMT Finance MENA 2014 Awards which will be presented in Dubai on May 7.
The annual Awards, now in their fifth year, recognise outstanding leadership, growth strategies and performance in telecoms, media and technology investment across the region and are presented at a Gala Dinner at the end of the TMT Finance & Investment MENA 2014 Conference http://www.tmtfinance.com/mena at Mina A’ Salaam, Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.
For the CEO Award this year’s shortlist features Wafik Al Shater, CEO, of Libyan telecom group LAP GreenN; Tamim Hamad Al-Kawari, CEO, QInvest - the Qatar headquartered investor; Ahmed Abdel Karim Julfar, CEO, Etisalat Group; Dr Nasser Marafih, CEO, Ooredoo Group; Scott Gegenheimer, CEO, Zain Group; and Abdulaziz al-Sugair, acting Managing Director and Chairman, STC of Saudi Arabia.
In the Growth Story of the Year Award category Zain Kuwait, Warid Telecom, Vodafone Qatar and LAP GreeN are shortlisted. There are 8 categories in total with the Deal of the Year and TMT Innovation Award contenders already announced, and the M&A Adviser, TMT Financing Bank, and TMT Law Firm shortlists to be released this week.
The TMT Finance MENA Awards are nominated by readers of TMT Finance, the global telecom finance and investment news provider, and then assessed by a panel of judges representing leaders from industry, finance and advisory.
