The Sheridan Opera House, an intimate venue in the heart of Downtown Telluride, recently celebrated its 100th birthday and will bring music, theatre, and comedy to the friendly mountain town this winter. Musical performances by Michael Franti, The Infamous String Dusters, and The Wailers are scheduled along with a series of tribute bands featuring music by Led Zeppelin, Sublime, No Doubt, and Queen. The first weekend in February will feature The Young People’s Theatre of Telluride performing their original musical “You’re the One That I Want: The High School Grease Experience”. The 15th annual Telluride Comedy Festival is scheduled for February 13th-16th and brings a hilarious lineup of nationally recognized comedians for a weekend of standup and imrov.
Telluride Food Tours are extremely popular and have been recently ranked by “TripAdvisor” as the #1 activity in Telluride besides skiing. The three-hour walking tour allows guests to taste fares from a variety of restaurants and specialty food shops while educating them on the history of the town.
