Telluride Conference Collective Becomes Newest Member of Mountain Meeting Alliance
Telluride, CO (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- The Telluride Conference Collective is pleased to announce it has joined the Mountain Meeting Alliance, a confederation of elite, independent mountain meeting destinations.
The Mountain Meeting Alliance promotes its members to meeting and event planners nationwide in partnership with media company Plan Your Meetings. MMA also produces an annual familiarization trip in August. MMA members include Copper Mountain Resort, Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center and The Steamboat Grand. The Telluride Conference Collective is the first member to join MMA since its founding last year.
“The Telluride Conference Collective was created to encompass the entire destination through the efforts of the Telluride Ski & Golf Resort, Telluride Tourism Board and the region's lodging community in welcoming the business of meetings, conferences and events into the intimate community of Telluride,” says Allison Grassetti, CMP, the Telluride Conference Collective’s director of conference and incentive sales. “I am thrilled to be working with my friends and colleagues under the umbrella of MMA to promote these Rocky Mountain conference jewels. And, of course, I am thrilled to represent the extraordinary destination of Telluride, Colo. — America’s quintessential mountain town.”
Nestled in a box canyon, Telluride is surrounded by 14,000-ft. peaks and offers a variety of on- and off-mountain dining options as well as spectacular views. Amenities at the Telluride Conference Center include more than 7,000 square feet of meeting space and an extensive pre-function area. Roughly 1,600 luxurious guest rooms are located nearby at the Inn at Lost Creek, Madeline Hotel and Peaks Hotel.
In addition to its famous ski slopes, Telluride offers world-class spas and golf. “Meetings in Telluride are all business,” Grassetti says. “But step outside of the meeting and there sits a playground waiting to be discovered.” The intimate setting and expansive landscape give attendees the space they need to think deeply and the inspiration to turn ideas into action.
“These unique mountain meeting destinations offer a high level of quality and service in a peaceful setting, which allows attendees to focus in a powerful way,” says Evan Casey, Plan Your Meetings’ vice president of sales and marketing. “It’s something that’s hard to explain, but unforgettable once experienced. That’s why the Mountain Meeting Alliance was formed: to connect these destinations with meeting planners in need of those very qualities for future event venues.” Meeting and event planners interested in applying for the August 2015 familiarization tour, may read more about it and apply at MountainMeetingAlliance.com.
