Telrad Announces Suite of Value-Added Services for Internet Service Providers
Cape Town, South Africa - AfricaCom 2014 (PRWEB) November 12, 2014 -- Telrad Networks, a global provider of innovative 4G wireless and telecom solutions, today announced a new suite of value-added services designed to help Internet Service Providers (ISPs) increase revenues and customer loyalty, while reducing churn. The innovative solutions—which include Cloud Services, Over-the-Top (OTT) TV, and an Internet Caching Platform—can be implemented within a short time frame, without requiring any initial capital investment.
The Telrad services model enables ISPs to white-label the Cloud and OTT TV offerings as their own, with the ability to integrate their branding into the solution. Transparent caching brings greater cost savings to providers, enhances Quality of Service (QoS) for subscribers, and accelerates content delivery dramatically.
The suite of new Telrad services includes:
- Private Cloud – The easy-to-use Private Cloud solution allows ISPs to provide businesses and consumers with advanced backup systems. The solution is hosted in a local Data Center (to the ISP) and monitored via Telrad. The highest levels of security and redundancy are used to protect all the data.
- Over-the-Top (OTT) TV – Telrad’s OTT TV solution helps operators meet the growing consumer demand for on-demand entertainment, with a managed Internet TV platform that offers premium content, streaming over the Internet. For those ISPs already offering VoIP and broadband services, this is the missing piece to become a “triple play” provider.
- Transparent Caching Platform (TCP) – The TCP allows operators to provide faster content delivery and improved video quality for subscribers. By caching recurrent files and delivering them from a local server, they avoid upstream points of contention and reduce latency. Telrad’s TCP can improve performance by up to 1500%.
“Until now, ISPs have been forced to make substantial infrastructure investments in order to upgrade their network to offer these types of services – with no immediate reward,” said Daniel Levy, Telrad’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. “With growing consumer demand and market competition, we need to step beyond an infrastructure-only offering to help our operator customers ensure long-term success. We look forward to rolling out this rich technology platform to our customers and drive growth across the ISP ecosystem.”
