Telrad Introduces New Features to Enhance ISP Performance
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) October 10, 2017 -- WISPAPALOOZA —Telrad Networks, a global provider of innovative LTE telecom solutions, today announced its new dual sector, dual carrier, and soft frequency reuse (SFR) features for the flagship BreezeCOMPACT base station. These new features will enable operators to essentially double their performance, thereby doubling capacity and coverage, while limiting self-interference between base stations.
2x Base Station Performance
ISPs and operators will now, with a software upgrade, be able to attain up to 200 Mbps per sector. The new technology supports up to two 5, 10, 15, or 20 MHz channels that may be leveraged in a single sector or dual sector configuration. When used in a single sector, operators essentially double their capacity in scenarios with adequate spectrum. When spectrum is limited, combining this new dual carrier capability with SFR provides up to a 40% increase in sector capacity. In dual sector mode, the BreezeCOMPACT provides two base stations in one, providing capacity that competitive solutions require two base stations to achieve. Attaining this kind of efficiency and performance will play a key role in operator’s business plans, where they are under constant pressure to increase customer throughput and density per sector while keeping expenses down.
