Telrad Networks Demonstrates Cost-Effective CBRS Band Solution
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) September 12, 2017 -- Mobile World Congress Americas —Telrad Networks, a global provider of innovative LTE telecom solutions, today announced its participation in the Mobile World Congress Americas conference, where they will be exhibiting and demonstrating their 3.65 GHz CBRS band solution.
Telrad provides a comprehensive solution in compliance with the FCC Citizen’s Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) 3550-3700 MHz band. In order to operate within the band, companies must utilize a spectrum access system (SAS) for the allocation and management of spectrum, with the goal of maximizing efficiency in the band. The Telrad solution leverages a dynamic three-tiered SAS developed by Federated Wireless to control spectrum utilized by both their flagship base station, BreezeCOMPACT, and high-power UE which classify as category B CBSD devices.
The new CBRS solution will help operators access 150 MHz of contiguous spectrum in the 3.5 GHz band (3550-3700 MHz). Telrad offers an end-to-end LTE solution that meets FCC requirements and has already been field-proven in the 3.5 GHz band. The product is designed specifically to support fixed wireless networks, and gives operators a dual-sector/dual-carrier solution with doubles the capabilities of typical competitor solutions.

The Telrad solution supports carrier aggregation of both 10 and 20MHz channels, which is critical to operation in the CBRS band. With a capability to reach 200 Mbps in a single sector, the BreezeCOMPACT and CPE9000 enable higher user data speeds and greater scalability in CBRS than competitive solutions. It offers extremely powerful connectivity, which overcomes many non-line-of-sight challenges caused by heavy tree foliage.
